Light woven, non stretchy fabric. If you like it airy and voluminous, take a lighter fabric such as poplin, gingham, double gauze, cotton lawn, viscose, light crepe, or some light synthetic fabrics.
If you like a more defined, nicer drape, take a heavier (not necessarily thicker) fabric such as tencel, a heavier viscose or crepe...

How to know which size to pick?
Measure your upper bust girth and add 4 or 5 cm / 2 inches to it.
Once you have this figure, use the table (among the pics, in color) to find the closest chest panel length and check which size it corresponds to. This is your size for this pattern.
